Nursing RN, Associate in Science Degree - Bridge Track
The Nursing, Associate in Science (ASN) degree is a limited access program. Acceptance into the program requires a separate application process in addition to College admission. Interested students must review program specific information which includes program core application requirements and selection criteria. Program graduates obtain RN licensure through successful completion of the NCLEX-RN.

BRIDGE TRACK:
A three-semester curriculum designed for students possessing pre-licensure or certification qualifications (LPN or Paramedic). Annual Spring semester application process provides program acceptance consideration for one option beginning subsequent Summer semester.

If not exempt from the placement test and developmental coursework, then completion of all required developmental courses that are indicated by the placement test scores. Test scores may be exempt if the applicant has transferable, college-level course work in mathematics with grades of “C” or higher.
Articulation to Nursing (RN)
Applicants for the ASN Program Bridge Track must have a valid, current Florida LPN license or Paramedic certification. Students accepted into this program receive 17 articulated hours based on licensure or certification.
As per the amended Florida Rule 6A-10.02413, prior to the award of an associate in science or associate in applied science degree, LSSC students under the 2022-2023 Catalog and thereafter must demonstrate competency in civic literacy through one of the following options prior to graduation:
- successfully passing POS 2041 American National Government or AMH 2020 U.S. History Since 1877 and achieving a 60% or higher on the Florida Civic Literacy Exam , or
- successfully passing a prescribed assessment:
AP Government & Politics Test: United States (passing score of 3), or
AP U.S. History Test (passing score of 4), or
CLEP: American Government (passing score of 50)
